Day 6
Subject: [firstname]: How to make sure your launch runs smoothly

Hi [firstname],

When you do your launch, you'll want to make sure everything runs like clockwork, and that customers have the best experience possible. The best way to do this is to have a rehearsal.

Go through each stage of your sales funnel and make sure customers are directed along the lines they're supposed to follow. Make sure your upsell and downsell links work and, if you're selling a digital product, that your product can be downloaded smoothly.

Many payment processors will let you make test purchases where no payment is taken, just so you can make sure everything is set up correctly. It's also a good idea to make a couple of live purchases yourself, too, just so you can experience EXACTLY what the customer will experience. Sometimes the test and live purchase procedure is slightly different. You can always issue yourself a refund later.

An even better way is to offer selected (i.e. your best) customers a chance to purchase your product before it actually goes live at a discounted price, perhaps. You can create a mirror version of your site on a subdomain, and take it down when your real site goes live. Not only will you find out if there are any problems that didn't show up in your rehearsal, but you can also get reviews and testimonials from verified customers.

You should also make sure you have enough bandwidth on your server to cope with the expected influx of visitors, and arrange with your hosting company to take on a larger allocation if necessary.

When all that is done, you're ready to launch!

Warmly,

[Your Name]
